Papa John's - Software Solutions

Client
As a high school student working at a local pizza pub in Jeffersonville, Indiana, Papa John's founder John Schnatter realized that there was something missing from national pizza chains: a superior-quality traditional pizza delivered to the customer's door. His dream was to open a pizza restaurant that would fill that void.
Today, Papa John's boasts nearly 3000 restaurants in 49 states and 20 international markets.
Challenge
In any fast growing company the management of expenses and allocation of capital is critical to business success. In the supply chain of most large companies, change is often cumbersome and expensive. Additionally, the process of evaluating different products or processes and then training employees to work within those processes can be time consuming and often unproductive. Papa John's needed to determine a procurement system that would minimize the costs and time associated with the procurement process but that could be quickly and efficiently implemented.
Solution
Papa John's called upon ADSnetcurve to build, deploy, and manage a web based reverse auction engine that would create a competitive bidding environment for commonly used items in over 3000 restaurants. Within two months ADSnetcurve had built, customized, and deployed the reverse auction solution to Papa John's. The company can now easily identify suppliers, post product specifications, and attract true market value pricing for “non-core” items to supply to their vast network of restaurants.
Results
Over the last two years, Papa John's has relied on ADSnetcurve to set up, provide online and local support for, and summarize the results of each auction. Their results have been significant with over a 3000% return on investment.
